The Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), one of the world's leading examination boards, conducts over 620,000 examinations worldwide per year. In an exciting development, ABRSM has chosen our auditorium as venue for their Brisbane examinations. This is recognition of the excellence and quality of our facilities and our premises, of which we are extremely proud of. 01/09/2007 Opening Celebration at MSA! An entertaining Opening Celebration, held in the MSA Auditorium on Friday August 31, kicked off the Celebration Weekend at Music Schools Australia and Masson Music. Over eighty guests enjoyed a night of fine food, drinks and musical performances. Guests included Phil Reeves (pictured), MP for Mansfield, other industry-related guests, teachers, staff, friends and family. Musical performances featured a wide reperotire including flute, cello, saxophone quartets, voice and piano. The night has been hailed as a major success. It also showcased the flexible, multipurpose nature of our auditorium, with guests commenting positively on our excellent facilities and acoustics.

The Australian Music Examination Board has chosen the MSA Auditorium as venue for its Brisbane Music Craft Seminar, to be held on September 15! Presented by Timothy McKenry, Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and AMEB Examiner, the aim of the seminar is to help teachers further develop the knowledge and skills required to prepare students for Preliminary to Fourth Grade Music Craft examinations.
